In the fourth quarter of 2020, the iOS platform saw significant activity within the Real-Time Strategy category. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into the performance of these applications, and here we take a closer look at the top contenders in the US market.

Clash Royale maintained a strong presence with revenue peaking at nearly $1.4M in the week of December 21st. Downloads saw an upward trend, reaching around 92K in the same week, while weekly active users showed a slight decline from 3.4M to 2.8M by the end of December.

Art of War: Legions also demonstrated a robust quarter with revenues reaching over $198K in the first week of November and downloads hitting a high of approximately 25K in the same period. Active users peaked at around 158K in early November, but dipped to 125K by the quarter's end.

The quirky The Battle Cats showed consistent revenue throughout the quarter, with a notable increase to $137K in the week leading up to Christmas. Downloads remained steady with a slight increase to around 15K by the year's end, and weekly active users hovered just above 100K for most of the quarter.

Dawn of Titans: War Strategy experienced fluctuations in revenue, with notable spikes in late October and December, reaching about $83K and $75K respectively. Downloads remained relatively flat, with numbers just above 1.6K weekly, and active users slightly decreased from 17.5K to just under 15K by the close of Q4.

Lastly, South Park: Phone Destroyer™ saw its revenue rise and fall, ending the quarter on a slight uptick at around $38K. Downloads dipped as low as 2.5K in early December but recovered to approximately 2.7K by month's end. Weekly active users saw a decrease from 34K to 29K across the quarter.
